“FIBRA” for its acronym in Spanish, refers to a Real Estate Investment Trust. According to Mexican law, a REIT must be established as a trust by contract. The Income Tax Law in Mexico establishes that a REIT must annually distribute at least 95% of its Profit before Taxes.


Fibra Educa is a trust that invests in real estate opportunities that enhance the educational sector. Its essence is to provide, stabilize and maintain spaces dedicated primarily to the operation of higher education institutions in the lower and lower-middle income strata of the market. It is the first and only Fibra in Mexico and the world focused on acquiring and operating this type of real estate.

“CBFIs” are the equivalent of stock securities, so whoever has a “CBFI” in their possession is considered an investor or holder of the REIT.


Since 2018, Fibra Educa's “CBFIs” have been listed on the Mexican Stock Exchange (BMV), under the ticker symbol "EDUCA18".


To invest in Fibra Educa, open an account with an authorized brokerage house in Mexico and purchase your "CBFIs" under the ticker “EDUCA18”.


No, you can invest in Fibra Educa starting from 1 CBFI. However, each brokerage firm has its own requirements to open an investment account.


When Fibra Educa conducts a cash distribution, a deposit is made directly into your investment account held at your brokerage firm. The cash received can be used to purchase more shares of Fibra Educa, to acquire another instrument, or to withdraw it.
