“FIBRA” for its acronym in Spanish, refers to a Real Estate Investment Trust. According to Mexican law, a REIT must be established as a trust by contract. The Income Tax Law in Mexico establishes that a REIT must annually distribute at least 95% of its Profit before Taxes.


Fibra Educa is a trust that invests in real estate opportunities that enhance the educational sector. Its essence is to provide, stabilize and maintain spaces dedicated primarily to the operation of higher education institutions in the lower and lower-middle income strata of the market. It is the first and only Fibra in Mexico and the world focused on acquiring and operating this type of real estate.
